The Story

The Sarvato — now a member of Relais & Châteaux — is a living museum of Rajasthan’s heritage, where the region’s culinary folklore comes to life.

The name Sarvato refers to the building’s square form which was used as a hall for a private audience. It remains to be one of the important buildings in the Palace. Sarvato pays homage to the cuisine of Rajasthan, not just from its royal families, but also the dishes that nourished the region’s many communities, as well as the influences of the state’s many visitors and explorers. It is a reference to the restaurant’s gastronomic inspiration.
